Giving Day for Apes

Dear Sheryl:

We are thrilled to report that we were able to raise an amazing US$ 8,124.57 on Giving Day for Apes. Thanks to your big heart and generous donation, our chimpanzees will receive a whole load of exciting developments in their enclosures. We could not have done it without you! 

Here is what your donation has made happen: for their indoor facilities, the chimpanzees will get puzzle feeders from which they can coax nuts and honey, and steel mirrors in which to admire themselves all day long. Hammocks will provide an extra space on which to play and sleep, and ropes strung across the room means they can swing from place to place rather than walking on the cold cement floor. 

Outside, in no time at all, they’ll be using their masterful climbing skills to race to the top of tall climbing structures from which they can survey their kingdom. Termite mounds with treats inside will amuse them endlessly, and the trees we erect (we’ll use fallen trees from around the conservancy) will be hugely exciting for them. 

We couldn’t be happier to begin making these changes and we will make sure to send you pictures and updates as soon as we start. Our work is only possible as a group effort, and we would like to thank you sincerely for being a part of our team and helping us to achieve our goals. Asante sana!
