Okavango Delta

The world’s largest inland delta and a World Heritage Site, the Okavango is one of the richest and most varied habitats in Africa, and ranks as a top wildlife destination.  The Okavango Delta consists of 15 000 square kilometres of water channels, lagoons and islands, forming an incredible wilderness sanctuary. It is a wetland paradise located within the arid Kalahari desert, getting its waters from rain falling in Central Africa over 1000 km away to create this incredible wetland habitat.. The crystal clear channels spreading like an outstretched hand are nothing short of miraculous.

Home to hundreds of species of animals and birds, the Delta offers the chance to spot creatures that are not often seen elsewhere, such as sitatunga, wild dog and wattled crane.

We work with a range of magnificent camps in the Delta.

Chobe & Linyanti Game Reserves

To the northeast of the Okavango Delta are the Chobe and Linyanti game reserves, which are renowned for their predators and large concentrations of game, particularly elephant. There are many varied habitats within the Chobe and Linyanti parks, marshes, waterways, riverine forests, dry woodlands and the world famous Savuti Channel. The Linyanti Wildlife Reserve is 125,000 hectares of prime and private wildlife countryside. The last stretches of Africa’s Great Rift Valley divide the forests of the interior with the rivers and floodplains of the Linyanti and it is along this ridge and along the Savuti Channel that one sees the best wildlife.
